The Happiness Factor
by QueVision
What is the happiness factor? The happiness factor is you.
Most people believe that external things will make them happy.
Most of these external things will make you happy, but only for a short
period of time. Of course, if you bought a new car, an expensive
watch, a nice home, this will create happiness. The question is,
once you have become acquainted with these things will your level of
happiness be the same. So what is happiness and how can one be
happy?
The definition of the word happy is as follows: “Enjoying, showing or
marked by pleasure, satisfaction, or joy.” Happiness is a feeling
that exists inside whether you use it or not. Can one be happy
all the time? Yes, if one appreciates the things in life they do
to experience happiness. Happiness is a learned activity and
therefore begins with your thoughts, which lead to feelings of
happiness.
Are you producing thoughts of being happy? Most people think
external things produce happiness but being happy is a result of
internal communication. There are many things you can do to
produce happy thoughts. Engaging in these activities will assist
in programming your mind to believe that you deserve to be happy.
The memories of that experience you have will start to create a
long-term effect in your life.
Happiness is an activity, so here is a list of tips that you can use to produce thoughts of happiness.
1. Be thankful and grateful for what you are and becoming.
2. Affirmations
3. Playing sports, if you do play sports play the sport for fun instead of competition.
4. Show feelings of love to the people in your life. Showing and receiving love produces happiness.
5. Being in sunlight put you in a mood of happiness.
6. Exercise will allow you to reduce stress but also allow you to have better thoughts.
7. Living in the present- paying attention and focus on what you are
happy and excited about now. Doing this is one of the ways to
experience true lasting happiness in your life.
I mentioned affirmations. Affirmations are great to assist in
producing beliefs that will direct your actions on which you desire in
life.
Here are a few affirmations on happiness:
1. “I choose to feel happy, therefore I am happy!”
2. “I am the creator of my happiness. What I think and feel, so shall I be.”
3. “I am overflowing with joy over each and every one of my accomplishments.”
4. “I love to succeed. It makes me happy.”
5. “I am happy to share the tools for my success with others.”
6. “I am aware that my
success and happiness is a direct result of my positive
thoughts, words, actions, and feelings.”
7. “I am happy for others when they succeed. We are all one, and another’s success is mine as well.”
Once we begin to understand that our thoughts make us happy and not
external toys. This will become a breakthrough for us. This
observation, in my opinion, will add more years to our life on
earth. Also doing this will give us an edge on life as well.
What we want to do is learn to influence ourselves to experience the
feelings of happiness. By influencing our thoughts, beliefs, and
actions we will experience happiness more consistently. By
practicing this everyday we will start to set higher levels of
happiness in our life.
Remember, practice makes improvement. So start to practice to be happier in your life.
